Volunteering in Derby

I want to Volunteer

Meet new people, learn new skills, gain confidence, gain work experience, give something back or test the water!

People volunteer for so many different reasons and volunteers can do almost anything! From helping older people with their shopping, to providing legal advice for a local charity, volunteers make a vital contribution to all aspects of community life.

Do you want to become a volunteer?

The Volunteer Centre team at Community Action is on hand to help and support people from across the city who would like to volunteer. The team also supports organisations in Derby who involve volunteers.  For full info about the service click here

The centre offers a drop in service for potential volunteers giving them support and advice, and matching their motivation to volunteer with appropriate volunteering opportunities.  The centre is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, between 10.00 am and 4.30 pm. Come in and chat with one of our Volunteer Centre Advisers, or call them on 01332 342272 to discuss volunteering opportunities or to make an appointment.
